ok I've been reading and reading and reading and reading and reading, and...well you get the idea....on this whole seaclone skimmer. now i know its now the best ever, but with this mod you will not have any bubbles in your tank, here it is:
all you have to do is wrap a 1" wide piece of blue filter padding around the inner tube (in between the outer tube and the inner tube) and put the inner tube back in.

the whole thing with the bubbles going in the tank is that they come up from the bottom, where the bubbles get sucked up into the outer space between the tubes and then go into the tank, well, with this filter pad in the way, the water still flows fully up and into the tank, but the bubbles get trapped and eventually build up into large bubbles which never make it to the tank
anyone who has this skimmer will understand what i am talking about, i did all the other mods: shortened inner 1" cyclone tube, shortened collection cup tube, and changed to an actual valve on the airline; and the only thing left was the bubbles in the tank
