They found their home

It only took 3 days for these cute little ones to find the GBTA and call it home. As large as this tank is and how small they are, I expected them to take awhile to find him. They were placed in the tank at the end where the BTA is located, but they moved overnight to the other end of the tank and have been staying there until I came in this morning and they are happily playing in their new home. As big as the BTA is I guess it would be hard to miss.

I did not do anything to help them find the anenome except to place them in the tank at that end. However, as stated they moved to the other end of the tank. The tank is 6ft and they stayed there Sunday and Monday. When I came in this morning, there they were back at the other end. I have had this BTA for 6 months and I'm glad he finally has some friends.

nice picture! it's adorable how small they are compared to it.
i have a question for you- do you know if there is a significance of the white marks around the nem's mouth? mine just developed them a week ago and didn't have them before

I don't think anemones get ick. If you're talking about those white stripes radiating from the mouth, they are common in BTAs - both of mine have them. I seem to remember seeing some speculation that it could have something to do with the sex of the animal, but I can't remember where I read it. Maybe someone else will come along who knows more.

I've seen pictures with these white marks before. Mine has had these marks almost since I purchased it in August last year. I don't think they are of concern.
I'm going to try to feed the nem today as I haven't seen them offer it any of the foods they catch. I ususally feed it Mon, Wed, and Fri. We'll see how they handle my feedings.
Just an off note, my cucumber-which is huge-was going along the tank doing his duty when he went into the Sailfins home. The Sailfin-measures about 8"-grabbed him, shook him and placed him outside his area. It was a funny sight as this cucumber is a good size turd and I'm sure didn't learn the lesson of where it can't go.

It's a great feeling isn't it? To me, that should be the poster for this hobby, a clown(s) in their anenome.

Yes, it is a great feeling seeing these two so happy with their new home weaving in and out of the tenticles. I'm so glad I didn't have to wait to long to watch this happening. The tank is directly across for the computer I use the most so all I have to do is look up and I can enjoy my little piece of the ocean.

That's awesome! I don't know why people have trouble getting their clowns to find their anemones. I always let my clowns right into the anemone after acclimating them. From the second they go in the tank, they stay near the nem. Except for feeding when it's a free for all.
