.......the 45 and 30 as I was starting up a new tank.
We had a Finnex 30 up and running for several years until we had a 3 day power outage 3 years ago. Lost mostly everything, and put what we didn't in our 22 bow. Wife actually told me we needed another tank in the spot where we had the 30......so of course, I had to set a new one up!
I looked at the Nuvos, the Red Seas and the JBJs in the 30-45 gallon sizes. I'd pretty much settled on the JBJ 45 until I went to a store and saw it. It was just too big for what we wanted at this point, so I ended up with the 30. It's been up for a week and is doing well, starting the cycle. The 45 is just a bigger version.
Love the tank, though not a huge fan of the bent glass. Plenty of room in the back for whatever you want to do there. I'm getting good flow from the stock pumps. Have a skimmer set up, but not running. Going to put a Kessil 360WE over it. I would like to have a sump to hide stuff, which is why I was looking at the Red Sea models, but it came down to me not being comfortable with plumbing. Saw a Red Sea 250 set up at a LFS and really wanted it, though.
There are a bunch of reviews on YouTube that you can look at. I spent several hours doing that. Overall, I think it's a neat tank, if you're looking for an all in one. Just too big for our space right now.
