Slave to the reef!

Not sure whats going on here...checked the water and all parameters are fine. I think i may have had them too close together.

They do not look to close. I think you have other issues going on. What perameters did you all check?

Id agree, they dont look close enough to be having a war, they appear VERY stressed. Anything changed recently, any major changes in temp, salinity etc?

As Bob mentioned, it would be helpful to know what parameters you checked, also the readings.

Should have mentioned i just pulled them apart before taking the picture. They were alot closer before, prolly an 1" apart, maybe closer. I did just have a slainity drop when my tank flooded, but none of the other corals are showing any signs of stress at all.

Slainity 1.024
Ph 8.2
Nitrate 0
Alk Normal

Its just weird that it is only the 3 corals by themselves.

When you say other corals, do you mean other SPS corals, or just in general? SPS can become very stressed with sudden changes that may have little to no effect to LPS or softies, a change is salinity is certainly a possible culprit. Its hard to tell from the pic, but are they just "sliming" or is their some loss of tissue??

If they were originally closer, that may have also caused this, if they arent losing tissue, get everything stabilized, make sure their is good water movement around them, and keep a close eye.

All the other SPS in the tank looks fine. Theres not any tissue loss, but they are bleached baaad.
Think theres a chance of them living?

Theres always a chance, you've already got them seperated, so just keep everything in order with you tank and hopefully they will pull through.

Run a fresh bag of carbon for the next week and then switch it out for another fresh bag. Just in case....

Not looking good for these guys. It was 2 green slimers and a tri color nana. Now they are just bleached white sticks. :(

I think that drop in salinity was the culprit, but it is strange that these were the only corals affected.
Im going to be getting a CA reactor and controller soon so maybe i can start getting decent growth out of the rest of my corals.
