Hello I was wondering what areas of pa this club claims to cover. Also what area would the not strong susquahanna reef club cover.

we have members from state college to bethlehem to philly and north east pa so i would say alot to the state

Some members travel from MD, NY, OH, NJ for our swaps. Even a few from farther away.

Where are you?

I am not a member but follow the board. The name is very misleading because, as noted above, it doesn't extend to North Central Pa as in Tioga and Bradford counties.

There are pros and cons to having either a small and a large club but a smaller club could not hold the events we do...

All you have to do is put a thread up for a get together at your house. Ppl will come. I have done it a few times

Yes exactly Joe.You cannot have a society that hosts the largest events in new England and that group all live close enough to have local meetings.Our society covers approx.12 states with people and vendors coming from MI,TN,NY,NJ,MD,MA,MN,CT,OH,NC,VA,DE, and more to attend these great events.We have grown and evolved which has many pluses and a few minuses.The close knit group that was the original society population has changed and so did the ability to get us all in a meeting on a regular basis.Virtual meetings have replaced these and the swap events are the only time we all physically get to meet.Our next event is Oct 6,2012 at That Fish Place in Lancaster PA. It will be huge as history has shown and we will have a members meeting .Please try to make it and please feel free to add any suggestions and or volunteer your time and efforts if you like to help the society continue to grow.We are non profit and the work that is done for this club is all volunteered by BOD members and member volunteers.
