My nano cube 24 is 3 months old and got a new metallic green brain coral on Sunday and was feeding it tonight after the lights in my tank went off when I look at the bottom of my tank and 3 scarlet hermits look like they are fighting--I didn't want them to kill each other so I separate them--I follow one of the hermits and it goes on top of a snail and starts lifting it's shell--I'm thinking this thing molting right in front of me and it keeps lifting it's shell and drops it, lifts it then drops it--Next I see hundreds and hundreds of things being released--I couldn't believe it but this thing was dropping eggs/embryos and have embryos floating all over my tank--they look like little sperm!!! I tried to take a picture, but they are about the size of a pinhead--has anybody heard of this? Also, will I have a bunch of new hermits in time--I'm sure my six line will eat like a champ the next couple days!! Lastly, I'm guessing this is a good sign for water quality!!
This hobby gets more and more interesting!!
