Next to my coral, there is this organism growing. I cannot identify it. It's layers of these areas growing 90 degrees to the rock my coral lives in.
Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrates and Phosphate are 0.

There was some in my live sand when I bought it.

Any clue?

This is the best picture I could take of it.

You mean red slime? I was afraid of that. I can't believe it because the chemistry is close to perfect.

I am still suspicious because it doesn't have the nasty look and when is thicker you can break it.

I don't know, really

Thanks

thanks. You were right. Now it's gone. I put the rock in my other tank where there is a yellow tang and this morning puff! Gone.

Now I kind of regret it since I know how to control it if it gets out of hand and looked kind of cool. Hope it will regrow.

Thank you
