Thoughts on fish to choose

Pretty soon, I'll be ready to swap out the 55 gallon for the 90 gallon tank. Once I do that, the tomato clown pair will go in the 30 gallon tank, along with 2 yellow tail damsels. That'll leave me a yellow tang, orchid dottyback and a bangai cardinal, in the 90 gallon. Do you think I could add another tang? Or is that asking for trouble?

I would say go for it. I currently have 4 tangs (yellow, purple, hippo and sohal) in my 150 and for the most part, everyone gets along with the occasional nipping by the sohal. IMO, the best way to ensure peace is to arrange your rockwork so that they can get a "visual" break from one another when aggression pops up.

Its asking for trouble but a lot of people get away with it. id go with a different shape and color tang, maybe a bluemorph.

Its a chance but I would do it I have kept many tangs in one tank with little problems.I know many others that do to

For what its worth, when it was just the two of them my yellow and purple fought for 1st day and then coexisted peacefully ever since.

In my 90 i have a yellow tang, a powder brown tang, and a yellow eyed kole tang. I experienced no fighting at all with mine. I also have a 6 line wrasse, pink spot goby, madarin, scooter blenny, 2 o. clownfish.
