Thoughts on the Tunze 9005 Skimmer

I've just gotten a tank started with a 9005 with sump kit. In retrospect, probably a 9010 would have been a better choice, but that's more a matter of a little more capacity and the sump kit being included.
I was running it in my rock curing tub for a few weeks - it was pulling out some fairly nasty stuff maybe the color of a brown ale (newcastle, say).
From a novice point of view, it seems to be pretty easy to set up and get going. A little bit of fiddling with the air control and it was pulling pretty reasonably.
