It is time for me to upgrade my lights to T-5
Currently using pcs drove by workhorse 5's, even have extras.
Everything that i will have for lights will be retrofit
I have 5 of the workhorse 5 ballasts and i believe will run 2 54W T-5 bulbs each.
1st tank 75G - tank has polyps and looking at mushrrooms and was thinking of 4-5 bulb config. (will be re-lit first)
2nd tank 125 - FOWLR maybe an anemone later and really like the shimmer of MH and i have 1 175W 14K currently (will be running in a few weeks)
100G Rubbermaid Sump - would like to have more LR and DSB with plants and or cheato. (will be re-lit 2nd)

and was wondering about putting 80W 60"T-5 bulbs in 125to suppliement the 175 MH in middle of tank with 36" reflector.

Is there any difference between efficency of one ballast vs another ?(knowing that ice cap overdrives)

Will the ice cap 430 drive 4 of the 60"T-5 bulbs ?
On 75G tank was thinking of using just 2 of the workhorse 5 ballasts, use one ballast for atinic and other for daylight bulbs on different timers.
Was thinking that i would be better off getting ice cap retro and use the ice cap ballast later on the 125
Which brings me to sump....was planning on using whatever pc lighting i have left over....probaly 2 of the 55W10K bulbs and not sure if i need to run atinic on the sump ?
Any input you can give will help me in decisons.
