I let the tank go down hill. I thought it was leaking. I saw some salt on the floor. I found that over the years salt got between the tank and stand. For a week I went under where the lines came in on both sides and sprayed WD40 until it started coming out the front between the tank and stand. After a week I didn't see any salt and moisture coming out and everything was dry. Now I have a stand that looks like hell, still don't want to break down the tank. I picked up some MinWax wood hardener and just keep laying up coats as the wood soaked it up. I am using a syringe now and injecting it into the soft spots. If that doesn't do it I will inject it with epoxy. More updates to follow.
