Time to start with Corals

Here is my tank to date. I am ready and wanting to take it to the next level and get corals. I am thinking of getting one starter coral to see how did does in my tank. I was planning on getting Zoanthids to start.

My readings are,
Nitrates 0 ppm
Phosphates 0 ppm
KH Hardness 6 dkh
Calcium 420ppm before last water change.

Let me know what you all think, and just wanting to see if I need to do anything else before I actually go out and purchase the Zoanthids. Any advise and comments would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Tank Looks really nice. Zoas are grate to start out with, they do well in any type of water. If they dont open in the first day dont get worried some times it takes a few days. Good luck and post some more pic's when you get your Zoas.

Lets here some more about your equipment/set up.

I think I see 2 korilia's and a nano skimmer. What lights are you running?

Your parameters look good. DKH looks a bit low, but will probly come up with a water change.

Tank looks really good!

Yes I have two Korilias, my skimmer is a Aquatic Life Mini Skimmer 115 good up to 30gal. I am running a double lamp fixture Cotalife. 1-36 watt Actinic 03 Blue and 1-36 watt 10,000k fluorescent.

Is there any supliment I can buy that I can add just to give things an extra boost?

Are your lights T5HO, or actinics. Cant remember the wattage to be sure.

There are additives to boost what you want boosted, but be carful and do some research in the water chemistry forum befor you go into it blindly. I would make a post there to find out what will work best for your needs. There are many ways of doing this, and some are much better than others.

In addition to everything else that has been said, I would strongly recommend pulling that hippo tang... mainly because a 25 gal tank is too small for it but also because I wouldn't trust it with my zoa's, they have been known to munch on polyps.
