Time to upgrade the skimmer

I have finally decided to shell out the money for a decent protein skimmer. Question is I want to know what is going to be the best bang for my buck. I have a $300 budget. I have a 75 gallon mixed reef with a yellow tang and lionfish. I have a pro clear 150 sump that has the built in protein skimmer. I'm using the stock skimmer now, but I need to know what will fit in my sump. So now I'm turning to the pros on some advice. Thanks guys!

i use a rc-135 on my 150 but ive been told mine is old technology.
maybe others can chime in..
ive been told msx skimmers are great...
how big is your footprint.. do you need a hang on the back mode or insump

Yeah I was told by my buddy that works at WWC to use the Reef Octopus, but I wanted to get a second opinion from some other people. I know LFS persuade people into getting what they carry and that its the best as well. Anyone else have any other recommendations for my footprint?

i'd recomend the Reef Octopus 160 as well. you could also look at the Vertex skimmers. there are threads here for both owners' groups.
