Tiny Creatures!! All over my Glass

a few weeks ago my peppermint shrimp released tons are larvae into the tank... they were all eaten but the larvae were fun to look at.. this week I seem to have hundreds of tiny white specs moving around on my glass.. they move fast and in short spurts

curious to know what they are.

these are probably magnified at least 8-12 times.. they are about the size of a sugar granual at best.. most are about half the size of that or they are about the size of the tiny wite specks in the picture here I'm surprised i was even able to get this close of a shot with my cheap little canon elph.

I'd say pods, there are a lot of different kinds but most are good for your tank. mandarines, blennies and anthias love to eat them.

yeah i figured they were pods.. but was curious if anyone knew what they were exactly .. just for kicks it would be nice to know :

Those are copepods. That narrows the species pool down to a few thousand They are most likely one of several thousand species of harpacticoid copepod. Identifying them to species would be a daunting task, to say the least.
