Tiny white bumps, new Neon Goby

Hello all, *

I purchased a Neon Goby on Saturday and this morning the fish has developed small white bumps on his fins, gills, one around his mouth, and a few down both sides of his body.

At first I believed it to be ich, but I wasn't sure so I performed a 5min freshwater dip just in case it was something that could be helped by a dip.

While doing the dip in a small Pyrex glass, I noticed a small white line, maybe 3mm floating in the water in the glass. *

After returning the fish to the tank and returning a few minutes later I now see a small white line hanging out of or at least very near to his right gill and also one hanging from his right fin.

I tried to take photos, but the fish and bumps are so small they dont even come out.

Does anybody have any idea what im dealing with? *Is this ich in addition to something else, or just something else entirely.

Thank you

Jason

Possibly a type of fluke, the dip kills many of them. IMO, all fish should be treated with a wormer, like Prazi-Pro. PP can be use in most DTs and is very safe. I sure can't give you a guess on the ich without a pic; I'd do some research, "Google marine Ich", ich isn't that hard to spot---it looks like salt and the fish will usually be scratching on the LR or substrate. Is this fish in a QT?
