Tiny white dots on paly zoas

Got two zoa frags, both looked great. Upon getting home and dipping, I noticed lots of white specs on the stalks (see attached). They are quite firmly on there. I've read theories as to actual sand attached to the stalk to zoapox - anyone seen something similar? If zoapox will this attack other corals or fish. White dots in aquariums kind of freak me our . . . ; )

If you can remove the coral in question Furan-2 might be a remedy. Sometimes they just go away on their own given time and the right conditions though. GL

Basically I just put it in my 'leftover' tank, a basic 2.5 gallon with some live rock, xenia frags and a murderous gorilla crab (though I admire her moxie). Would the zoapox hurt them? I could get the q up and running to treat them but I don't have any good lighting, just normal aquarium lights.

Yeah, hard to say. It does seem like it could be sediment, there is quite a bit and it doesn't seem to be harming the colony. I may just keep in the leftover tank and monitor. If all seems well I can move to the other. It will get better flow and light there than my temp q tank.

yay starwars hijack, I am optimistic too, even before the trailer...at first when the big D bought it i was worried, then i realized that they couldnt do much worse than gorge lucas, and that put it all in perspective XD
