Tissue Regression on a Frogspawn

It has been in the same spot of more that 2 months and today before the lights came on I look in the tank as saw that the tissue is creeping back from the skeleton. I can’t figure out why. I tested everything, and it was all good. Mag was a little on the low end of normal but nothing that a water change tonight wont fix. The only thing that I can think of that is out of the ordinary is I had a power head fall off the side of the tank and blow strait at the coral for a couple of hours. Its normally mounted high and pointing across the tank. When it fell it started blowing right at the frogspawn which is on the sand bed. I also have a hammer right next to it. The hammer is doing great. As I type this, its got me thinking, could the hammer be stinging it?

Watch after lights out for stinger tentacles. IME euphyllia aren't aggressive to other euphyllia so that's probably not the problem.

I would suspect the powerhead. High direct flow, esp if it's picking up some sand on the way, can be pretty nasty to any coral.

Good Luck,
