Hi
I have purchased the above tank and have set it up with approx 1.5 inches of aragamax live sand, and about 3 kilos of live rock I replaced the sponge filters with phosphate remover and carbon tank has been up and running for approx 48 hours everything is fine and already have seen some interesting hitchhikers
however the skimmer is driving me nuts it's a wee air driven one it seems to be producing lots of tiny bubbles which in turn is producing a wet white frothy skim mate but this is causing the skimmer cup to overflow quickly with basically water.
I'm wondering is it because the tank is so 'new' that the skimmer is behaving like this and should I let the tank settle a few days before turning the skimmer on?
any comments would be much appreciated
