Toadstool being ridiculous

Hello all!
I rescently accuired a toadstool softy and its my first coral ever!! Hence why its a toadstool. However the first few days it was doing great and had beautiful polyp extension.. Now however its not looking so good, its closed up and just looking terrible. I dont understand why.. my Nitrates/Nitrites are 0, calcium is 420, magnesium is over 1300, ph is 8.3, 1.025 and tank is at 26 degrees. I have two 80w t5 right over the water as well as LEDs(dont like em) I have two clown fish neither sexually mature so not even thoughts of hosting in the toadstool, a juvy desjardini sailfin tang, midas blenny, 3 chromis(dont like em), cleaner wrasse(love em), cleaner shrimp and a long spine sea urchin(hate em)

Running a very good protein skimmer and and phosphates are less than 0.10..
The tank has 15 times the flow that is pumped out randomly from different powerheads. I think that about sums up the tank, lots of live rock and a lazy ss startfish.

Any thoughts or advice are much appreciated. Please dont tell me my tanks to small for my desjardini, he's like 7cm, is the boss of the tank and loves life and im just finishing off my 400 gal which will be stunning but want to mature this tank first... Because quite frankly...I am a noob and know nothing. :hammer:

He may be shedding. Normal for leathers like toadstools. He should look fin again after a few days. If you have a turkey baster, tank dedicated of course  , you can carefully blast him a few times to help loosen and blow off the shedding mucus. If nothing comes off try again tomorrow.
And welcome coral keeping. You may be addicted very soon!

Thanks bud. I have turkey basted him but i dont see any mucus coming off :/ Im already very addicted... Hammers are next ;)

What type of toadstool is it? Most are easy, but there is one kind, Fiji I think that is just stupid. Can you post a picture? I love my toadstool, I hope yours does ok! Mine randomly closes up on occasion, bu only for a day or to. Good luck!

To be honest im actually not to sure but it looks like the most common one, just a tan/pink colouration with greenish mainly brown polyps

My toadstools shrivel up and pretend to die occasionally. :p Longest I've had one close up is 7 or so days. They always come back, usually much bigger than before.

Maybe it has something to do with the moon cycle. My toadstool is doing the same thing. I just walked by the tank and said :hmm5:
