toadstool fragging question

can I frag it in the main display tank?
i have read others doing it, and I have read others stating that they release toxins in the water.
My toadstool is attached to a rock that will be very, difficult to remove and work with.

I fragged mine in the display. That was before I got sps. I always cut the large toads stool of of the rock it was on and the frag would grow from that piece.

Depending on its health and stress level makes the frag easy as pie to i hope he makes it. But in normal condtions its as easy as cutting a corner off and glueing to a frag. Yea you can do it in the tank .I would use stainless steel surgical scissor.

can I get some more opinions?
I will be fraggong this weekend, and I will even do a report with pics of the fragging process.

I decided to cut the stalk off in the main tank, and do the all other cuts outside the tank.

Cut the cap of the toadstool into 10 pieces

I glued each frag with gel superglue to its own rock and put them in 2 baskets that are hanging inside the display tank
