toadstool lighting requirements?

I tried to look this up first

will a toadstool leather be ok with 48 watts t5 in a 30gal tank. Tank is 24" and fixture is 24" And would it do well lighting wise, or would it do better with more?

It may stay alive but I don't see much growth

i figured it needed 2x or 3x light to do well, but thought I would ask someone who knew better than I.

I run 4 T5's on a 38 and all softies grow just fine, I only run 2 of the T5's like 4 hours of the day, the other 2 run 12 hours. I have softies in my sump/refugium and it only has a regular light bulb on it and they grow fine as well, not fast but grow.

It could work if you place the coral right.

I have a Toadstool in my 40B setup. The tank has a 48" 2-bulb T5 lighting it. The Toadstool grows pretty well, but it is also about 2/3's of the way up in the tank.


More lighting wouldn't hurt though. But a 2-bulb can light a softie tank if the corals are placed correctly.
