Toadstool Problem! Help Appreciated! Pics!

I have a toadstool that I have had for quite some time... around 6 months. For the last month or two it has not extended its polyps and now its waxy coating is begining to gather some algae. The other three leather toadstools that I have in the tank are doing great and my parameters are near perfect (nitrate = 10 is the only thing I do not like). My question is, could the GSP at its base be causing it some grief? Coral warfare? If not what else coulf be the problem? I believe that I have enough Flow. Thanks in advance!

Both pics below are older pics.

could be the GSP but I doubt it. I have had them close on me for long periods too. As long as the tissue isn't disintegrating I'd just leave it be.

It is not disintegrating however it does seem to be gathering some green algae and some almost like scab structures are forming on the stalk of it... but not disintegrating, just concerning. Any thoughts?

Has it shed at all lately? like get that film stuff on top then get rid of it? That is how they stop algae from growing on top of them. It may be doing it cause of that. I have had mine close for a long period of time then shed like that and open right back up. Give it some time.

It's possible it's the GSP, especially if it's the GSP that are a type of encrusting gorgonian, they pack a heck of a wallop, much stronger than your run of the mill star polyps. Do you happen to have any close up pics of the star polyps while closed up? If they form out of more of a tannish mat, rather than purple, it's probably encrusting gorg you have.

If the scabby areas coincide to spots that are closer to the GSP's, I'd try and move one or the other.
