Toadstool shedding????

Hello,

My green polyped toadstool was doing great for about a month. Now for the past two weeks it has been closed up with no polyp extension. I did some research here and found that this is normal and the toadstool is most likely shedding.

This was the case. I just glanced into my tank, where the light havent turned on yet, and could see my toadstool shedding off a thin sheet. I siphoned out some of it but i cant get it all. I already see some polyps trying to extend. My question is, do i have to worry about this shedding affecting my hammer and frogspawn? These and my pair of clowns and midas blenny are the only inhabitants.

thanks!!!!

It had never affected anything in my tank. During this time, I direct more flow to the toadstool to help clear it off.

My leather corals all do this from time to time. The only thing that I can relate it to in my tank is after a period of substantial growth.

You can actually rub it with your fingers to help it along. Been doing that for 4 years with mine. Mine started at 2 inches and is now over a foot and I frag it all the time for $$$ or to trade for new corals.
