Toadstool with sps??

I want to get a toadstool leather but keep reading that they are toxic to stony corals

What's your take???

I have a few toadstools with a few assorted sps and never had a problem. Although as you could imagine they were never touching or suffocating one another. I've even stressed the toadstool by fragging it and never had any residuals of the fragged section affect the sps.

I've read the same thing and never combined them
I don't also use carbon so that's another reason that made me hesitate....plus i really don't like them

On the other hand i guess that if your water quallity is excellent(frequent WC,run carbon to remove possible toxins,not let it get too big,etc) you could put them together witout serious issues.

I keep nepthea, 3 small green polyped toadstools and a huge colony of xenia in my sps tank and so far no ill effects. I dont run carbon either

Both those montis have triplpled in size in about a month right next to the toadstool and finger leather.

if carbon is run, there shouldn't be major problems. they live together in the ocean

i have alot of sps and toadstools. i do run carbon for chemical warfare in all my tanks and i have never had an issue
