My toadstool has not opened in several weeks . I upgraded my lights from pc to t5's about 2 weeks ago . Before the light change the toadstool closed down . It looks smooth and gray in color .
Its about half way up and medium flow with some burst flow from the wavemaker .
Tanks a 75 gallon with 30 gal. sump/fuge .
Calcium , alk , ph , mag , and ect . all within range .
Thanks Rick

Be patient, if it's not limp, it will probobally be ok. They will sometimes shed a thin waxy layer, then look even better than before. Keep the flow good, and check for pests.

I've looked it over since it closed up . I'm worried about the gray smooth look that it as now . Like I said its been this way for several weeks now

Toad stools are pretty hard to kill. Ive had mine for about three years and its survived moves that damsels didnt even survive. There was a period of several weeks were my didnt open up and it was a grayish pink color. I would say as long as it is holding it self up it should be fine.
