can it be possible for a toadstool to get heavy enough that it can't hold up by itself, mine opens up completely and beautiful but is always looking for a rock to lay upon I've noticed is growing to much for its base

IMO and experience, they need a lot of water flow and should be visibly moving from the flow. This permits them to build up heft and strength in their cores so they can stay erect. It's the same concept with trees, where wind exposure builds larger rings each season and greater strength. Leathers need more flow than any corals in my experience.

she has plenty of flow she's right smack in the middle of the tank where all the water meets,in the morning she's up and moving but as the day goes by she gets bigger and then she starts looking for where to rest on all her tentacles are out and moving about then at night she shrinks a bit and sleeps standing all night the thing is every time she goes into that cleaning period that they do she gets bigger
