Toby puffers and pistol shrimp

I'm thinking about trying a goby/pistol pair but I'm concerned about my Toby puffer. Will it take out the shrimp. Anyone have these animals together?

I don't have experience with tobies with pistols but my toby would eat any shrimp or crab in the tank, he would even go as far as too bite notches in hermits shells to they would break in half so he could eat the hermit, so I think the pistol would be food fast.

Thanks for your thoughts. I was thinking maybe with at mighty pistol, the shrimp could defend itself. Also, with the protection of a burrow and the keen eyes of its goby partner.

That might keep him safe for a while but I think eventual the toby will get him.

I have a toby and would love to add a goby/shrimp pair but I'm not willing to risk it. He ate two mexican turbos so I only have nerites and ceriths now. I have an emerald crab which is quite large so the toby hasn't messed with him. Im thinking of getting a 28 gal biocube for my nano fish habit LOL.
