I have a 1 3/4 inch Tomatoe Clown (female) who is well established in a 180g reef. I recently added 3 serpent stars and now am finding that 2 of them have been attacked. It seems my Tomatoe is the most aggressive fish and I was wondering if she may be the one attacking the stars. The only other fish are 3 yellow tang and one red-headed wrasse.

Are you sure that it is being attacked by a fish?
Starfish do start to disintegrate when dying and can frequently look like they're being attacked.
How much are the serpent stars getting to eat?
Omnivorous by nature, serpent stars are generally nocturnal and if you're seeing them out and about by daytime (other than during feeding time) they are likely looking for food.
