Tomini Tang

Purchased one from the LFS about 8 weeks ago... went straight into a formalin dip and onto TTM (which was followed with discipline) that included two three day treatments of PraziPro (this and the dip were performed prophylactically).

Since the stay in QT, the fish spent time in an observation tank which is an established 50 gallon with live rock where it has been relatively shy (housed with Tail Spot Blenny and a small Ocellaris Clown) but eats everything thrown in there and has put on weight. My possible concern is that it twitches it's dorsal fin quite often. I've never observed the fish scratching and the fins do not remain clamped--just a twitch. Is this the behavior of a nervous fish or signs of something else needing attention before going in the DT?

Thanks
Mike

It is not a sign of anything to be concerned about. Body twitches are what we need to worry about. My Kole tang which is in the same genus as a tomini was very shy until it was housed with multiple fish.

I appreciate the feedback... everything about the fish was pointing towards being healthy but figured I throw this out there--better to be sure before going into the DT! Thanks.
