Too much for 29 gallon

12" brittle star, red sea mimic blenny (max 3"), percula clownfish (max 3"), 6-line wrasse (max ~3").

will this be too much fish/bioload for a 29 gallon with 40 lbs live rock and no skimmer?

can I add a shrimp or will it get eaten by one of those fish or brittle star? what kind of invert is best for this situation? peppermint shrimp? cleaner shrimp? hermits? snails?

That should be fine for a 29g, but I worry about the large brittle star. What type is it? Green Brittle Stars are known to be active predators when they get larger. You could get a shrimp if you wanted. It should be fine. Of course, before you add any of the fish and invertebrates, you would need a clean up crew. Aim at getting mostly snails if not all snails.

the brittle star is molten red with green markings about the central disk. it has not shown any sort of aggression towards two black mollies that is has been living with so far in a 125.

is the fish too many? wont the 6 line wrasse bother a shrimp or brittle star?

six line, imho, are the sweetest damn fish I've ever seen. I've got one and except for pecking at a nasarius snail once (for fun, I think) he leaves everyone alone.

I'd keep the brittle star out as well. Get a pepperment or cleaner shrimp, and up to 4 fish (if you have enough live rock).
