i have 770 watts of light over my 130 ( mounted a few inches above the tank) think this is a bit to much light ?think this will hurt teh acrylic tank due to heat / uv .
anyways
till i get my refuge going think i should only use half the lights to help prevent algae growth.
( plan on a few softies ,lps then lots of SPS placed about 1/2 way down in the tank ( a foot from the top of the tank)
btw i see all these people with fans hooked up to pipes. do those really move the air enough? if so that would be great to hook to my canopy to keep the bulbs cool
