Too much light?

I have had a bta for about a month or so now and during the day it deflates and shrinks deeper into its crevice and then at night it inflates and becomes very active.

I am guessing this is due to too much light...It hasn't attempted to move to a different location, so I am not sure if I should just let it be or perhaps move it to a location that has a bit less direct light and perhaps a bit deeper in the tank.

If I do move it...any suggestions on how to prompt the removal of the foot from its existing location?

I would leave it alone, it will find its own spot that is right for it

The obvious questions are how much light are you providing it, What kind of lighting and how close is the BTA to the source of lighting?
