What goes folks?

Some of my sticks have burnt tips....argghh!

Im getting some red slime so my po4 is prolly a bit high, though I havent checked any parameters in months.

I always intend to check them but seems theres not enough time in the day. If there was forty hours in a day I still wouldnt get enough sleep. lolz.

I am too but I don't believe it has anything to do with po4. It is a bacteria not an algae and that makes me think I need to add bacteria to out compete it. Just my 2 cents

Cyanobacteria are not like normal bacteria. They are autotrophic, they contain chlorophyll just like algae and plants and are very dependent on the uptake of bicarbonate, nitrate, and phosphate.

Sounds like there is a good read out there on the subject. Care to point me in the direction?

There is plenty of reading out there. Some papers are a little rough to read but there's lots of info with relation between cyanobacteria and nitrate and phosphate. For the easier to read stuff look for articles relating blue-green algal blooms to fertilizer and sewage. There have even been studies of the use of cyanobacteria for the removal of nitrate and/or phosphate in water treatment.

could there be a rusting magnet or random part somewhere in your system? Another thought I had was could your flow pattern be affected or changed by a pump aging or new growth or shifted live rock? hope it gets better fast man.
