GARF Bonsai will have lineage to GARFs original Bonsai colony. So if the OP is looking for the ID of that coral then it can no longer be a GARF Bonsai Acropora or any named coral. It would be proper to find the species. Every Acropora has the potential to be purple with green polyps. Identifying them all as Bonsai would be foolish when they all require different husbandry.
Flat out, IDing a coral based on color in reference to a show name is a bad idea IMO.
I just wanted species so that I know exact care. I don't mind that I can't call it a special name even if it may or may not be one. The birdsnest I'd was spot on. Thanks! There are tons of different corals called birdsnest so it's nice to know the species. I'll wait until the others grow a little more.
Well the only thing to go by for now is the color and the tips on the first one, which is trying to identify a car by the number of doors and shape of the bumper.
