Hi all, how many fishes do you think I can keep in a 100L mixed RT?:lolspin:
I'm going to get some top dwelling fish, what do you suggest?:bounce2:

What is RT (reef tank?) and what do you mean by "top dwelling fish"?

What equipment do you currently have in the tank, and what do you have for nutrient export? In other words what do you have for filtration and do you have a sump, skimmer etc

Also if a reef tank what corals do you have or plan to have?

RT=reef tank and planned to have mainly sps and some lps in my tank.

Top dwelling fish means that fish usually swim on the top part of the tank...

I've a sump with a BM curve 5 skimmer for my 100L tank, the display tank is a 18" cube.
For nutrient export, I'm using rowaphos plus red sea no3:po4-x.

Iv'e had several spotted puffers that always stayed near the top. They get along well with all fish and corals too.

Puffers, dartfish (if not shy), and cardinals all seem to like the top a lot. Puffers are going to be a large bioload on a 26 gallon tank though. I'd probably stick to the dartfish or cardinals.

IME, dartfish and chromis do a lot of hanging out at the top, if there is not predatory fish in the tank. IME, Cardinals was in the rocks a lot and sat still, didn't really swim. Also, I would say a Tang which swims all over the water column.
