Top off water?

Should I use fresh water or salt water to top off my tank?

RO water only use salt for water changes!

salt wont evaporate so if you add saltwater your salinity will go up with each top off. Your salinity will even go up with just the evaporation. They best solution IMO is to get a water level controller and have a resevoir of RO or RODI (RO is a must!) to top off the water. If you get a big enough resevoir you only have to fill it up every few weeks. On my old 92 i had a 55 gallon resevoir and only had to hook it up to the RODI unit once a month.
