Just having fun
First of all I hope to see everyone at the dec. meeting at the Lee house. Allright now that that's out of the way, what are some topics, ideas for meetings. Things can range from chemistry to fish food. I am looking for general ideas on what people want to learn more about. So as a club let's brainstorm.

Ok I'll start
•disease in the aquarium and how to treat
•uses of microalgeas
•electrical for the do-it-yourselfers
•fish compatability and sizes
•tank chemistry and the benefits of trace elements
•feeding the tank
•coral care
•pairing and breeding animals and raising the young
•angels in a reef

I know there are tons more ideas so don't be shy post up things you want to know more about

What about angels in a reef

If I had the chance to have not ever added the one I have now then I would have skipped on the angel.I think they are hit and miss on nipping on corals and they are a little on the aggressive side IMO .The African flame I added killed 4 fish within a weeks time. They are very pretty fish but I would pass on getting another. This is all my experience and my opinion.I will say that if you have some aggressive fish in the tank that will keep the angel in check then its not so bad.

I think that all of the above list is nothing but really great meeting topics! We just need to find the people/persons that aresolid in the topics.

In my humble opinion I think Travis would be a great candidate for the tank paremeter/calcium,alk and mag discussion . He has a great way of not making it so teck that if you do not have a P.H.D you can still get what he is getting at !

I would love to do a meeting on feeding corals but I ask that it be in a couple of months so I can do a little more research on it.I think this is a major thing that is overlooked by a lot of people because in the past it has been said that it is not as important as other things you do in your tank to improve on the health, growth and visual of your reef tank ?

I also think J.J (Mr. president) could lead us on a great discussion about angels in the reef tank!

Just a couple of cents thrown in to the mix!

P.S Everyone have a SAFE and HAPPY holiday season, god bless.

I am just trying to throw ideas out there I don't mind leading the discussions, but I would like more input from the club. I know there are tons of things that can be talked about. And the above mentioned barely scratch the surface of this wonderful hobby. Maybe we could do something like inverts as a whole, seahorses and pipefish, venomous animals, etc etc...

Well I really want to do a saehorse refugium for my reef tank and I don't know a whole lot about them and they're needs. And what kinds are the best stuff like that.

I think a seahorse meeting would be a great idea.Me and Cindy could put together a little diddy for a upcoming meeting for sure!I am no expert but I have dealt with a ton of ponys in the last couple of years and am of the thinking that they are not as hard to keep as a lot of people think they are.Just my 2 cents.
