I have a blue spotted jawfish and a pair of firefish in QT. I noticed the right fin of the bsj is torn in half. In the last two days I also noticed the purple firefish's tails are torn so its not a solid tail but more like strings hanging onto their body with a few missing. The bsj also has some white patches on his scales in certain areas and a fungal looking growth on his lower lip.
Is there anything else that this could be other than fin and tail rot? I'm treating with triple sulfa for the last two days but things haven't seemed to get better yet, and the tathered tails are getting a bit worse on the purple firefish. Will the med take quite a bit to work? Will try to get pictures tonight after work, but any other suggestions in the mean time would be helpful. I just want to make sure that I'm not overlooking that this is potentially something else also.
