Translucent bubbles on live rock - not bubble algae

Hi,

I've just noticed growth of something rather unusual - at least in my mind.

To the best of my knowledge it's a new addition. I'm thinking (hoping!) it's not bubble algae because it's entirely translucent, but looking for some advice on what it might be.

Any thoughts?

Tunicates is a possiblity, but I still lean towards zoas that have been deprived of light for a long time. Either way you are fine to use the rock.

The light deprivation thing might make sense actually. The rock has been turned recently (about 4 weeks ago) during a tank move, so maybe some hitch-hiking zoas have been in the shade - would mean they had no light for a year.

Should I assume dead? As in they won't recover at all?
