someone made something like that in the Richmond club and put it over top some of the tanks at the LFS...looks really great and a very clean design. doesn't seem to block any light either compared to egg crate. i would definitely recommend it and would love to figure out how to make my own.

It would be a sure deal for me if I had some $$$ wrasses/clowns. Looks like it would be the same as making screens, but with a different material.

I looked and found something like this online at target. Its a 16' kidsafe deck netting (clear) for $18.00. Think this might work?
