Treating fungus on zoas

Picking up some furan-2 to dip a small colony I have with some fungus killing some polyps. Thing is there's a large pink sponge growing on the rock too. Actually overgrowing the zoas - though new polyps seem to be pushing their way through. It actually managed to grab ahold of a frag sitting next to this colony (of same zoas) and attach it LOL

Will it die off in the dip? Not sure I can scrape it off. Any suggestions?

This stuff already killed one frag of these zoas. Want to stop it now or I'll have to toss this colony before it spreads to the rest of the zoas.

Horrible pic but you can see the fungus covered polyp, as well as some other melting ones (possibly due to new lights and light acclimation though - just moved them to sand last nite), all surrounded by the pink sponge. The polyps in front are the frag the sponge assimilated into the colony.

Looks, very possibly, to be a sponge to me.

I would Irritate the polyps slightly till they close, remove it from the tank, exposed the frag to air. Gently scrape what you can off.

I am unsure on what dips, if any, will kill a sponge...I am figuring one of them, if not many of them, will.

Hope to see you get a better answer.
