Treating Ich via Hyposalinity

I've got two false perc clowns that seem to have ich. I haven't noticed the typical white spots on them, but I have seen the female scratching herself on the rocks. They're both swimming freely, which is unusual because they normally won't come out of their colt coral except to eat.

I plan on treating them via hyposalinity. I'm going to move 20 gallons of their tank water into a 29g hospital tank and add another 9 gallons of RO/DI water to drop the salinity. Will it be ok if I do this all at one time or should I drop the salinity slowly over a few days?

Also, can I use copper and hyposalinity at the same time?

Thanks!

Drop it over two days. Fish can tolerate a more rapid reduction in salinity, but 48 hours is suggested. Be sure that what you're treating is actually ich. Hyposalinity may not be effective if you've misdiagnosed the problem. There is no need to use copper in conjunction with hypo.
