Got an Ich breakout that I think I've had for around 1 month and today I've QT all my fish and plan to treat them via hyposalinity Tx. Got a refractory meter on the way and currently lowering my salinity. My PBT has several white spots and was not his self yesterday also my Tennenti has spots. Got a couple of nemos(no spots), two sand siffting gobies (no spots), one damsal (no spots), yellow tang some spots but the wrasse cleaned him up very good and a wrasse (no spots). They all seem to be eating well but I want this parasite off my fish and out of my DT. My questions are:
1. How long do I need to keep my fish in the QT tank?
2. How long before my DT should be rid of the Ich?
3. Is there anything I need to be doing to my DT tank?
4. What should I keep the salinity in my QT tank at for proper hyposalinity and for how long?
5. Any other questions I need to be asking?
I've learned a lesson the hard way and the next time I buy a fish it will spend time in a QT tank.. And how long should I keep new fish in a QT tank before they go in the DT.:bounce3:
