trigger biting glass

is there any reason my 2" picasso trigger would be constantly biting the glass?

theres no algae on the glass that it would be eating, it keeps hitting it and making a clicking noise

he's also splashing around the top a lot

I just checked my water a few days ago and had amm/nitrites/trates at 0

I thought of that too, Chad

Im gonna get some hermits tomorrow

I tried stuffing a snail shell full of food tonight, but he just got the food out without cracking the shell, so.....oh well....the hermits should be small enough to eat and work on the shells

Is he looking your way when he's doing it? My hippo tang swats the front glass with his tail when I come near the tank.

he started doing it this afternoon and pretty much did it constantly and he did it more when I approached the tank

however, now that the lights are off, he hasnt been doing it, so Im thinking the reflection theory is pretty strong right now

same w/ my puffer, i concluded it was his reflection

I have a 1- 1/2" Picasso that does the same thing with his reflection. Its funny to watch. I have 210g with 115lbs of Live rock (2 islands) and he constanly pecks away at the rock. Hes housed with a 6" foxface, 6" Hippo tang, 4" GSM Clown and a 5" Christmas wrasse and is the fiestiest of all of them. Man does he love squid. Fun fish with a corky personality.
