Trimming my Chaeto

Guys,

I'm "almost" positive he's using the Lights Of America outdoor light model #9265/9266. Look here and find that model #

Specs:

65w (like 500w)
6500k

There's two model numbers but it's the same light. The only difference is one is white the other is bronze.

It's the light I use and I have to trim my cheato at least once every week/two weeks.

Compulou is correct. It is this light. I learned about it here on another thread.

It's at Home Depot for like $42

How long are you running the lights?

I'm running mine for 10 hrs/day - opposite of my display tank.

Mine doesn't grow anymore either. I dunno if it's just cause my skimmer is doing that great of a job or what it is, but I hardly see any growth any more.

New here looking to set up a new fuge for my nano. Does anybody know where i can get any cheato, Ive looked at a few LFS around the area and nobody seems to have it or know where to get it from . Ant help would be great-Thanks in advance

people give it away at the fmas meetings or i'm sure you can find it from another member when they trim theirs in your area

I don't know that I'd chalk it up to the skimmer. My total system water is about 200 gal and at the present time I'm running a Deltec APF600 AND an ASM G3 just because I've been too lazy to pull the G3 offline but they both skim so I might just leave it this way.
