Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure Dip for new Ricordia?

i never dip rics/mushrooms at all. i dont think its needed

Yah it is fine Sean,

I dip every coral that enters my system in Lugol's - it is another Iodine dip - pretty much exactly the same as TMPCC.

And you are correct you can bring in flatworms and other bugs on mushrooms.

So far I have not had a problem with dipping Rics, even the newly collected ones.

I use TMPCC with great success. No coral enters my tank without being treated to a 15 minute bath in it and since I started doing it I haven't lost a single coral that I can think of.

Any coral that comes attached to anything should definitely be treated. Far more pests come from the rocks/plugs corals come attached to than from the corals themselves.
