True or False?

Very new to Corals.
I have some mushrooms and was doing some reading out on the internet.
I read that mushrooms should always lay flat on the rock,and if they raise up they need more light.



True or false ?

My tank is a 29 gal with 130watt compact flouresent
My mushrooms are somewhat close in the upper tank region.
Many of them swell up off the rock and get really large. Here I thought they wer happy

post a picture. it might be too much flow, it might be just that your bulbs are really old. it sounds like you should have enough light for shrooms .

Sorry no pics. The 1 I have is crappy and too big to add.

The light bulbs are about 3 months old

They will do this, I have ricordea do this and some that don't and they are under high light. You will find out that not every coral even if they are the same species can and will act differant. You should be fine if they are opening and full they are happy close to the rock or not.
