Tubastrea eating fish?

They would eat a very small fish if given the opportunity, but the fish would have to be very small (to fit in it's mouth) and in very bad shape or dead. Tubastrea really isn't as aggressive as many of it's NPS counterparts, and even a coral like a Rhizotrochus has a tough time catching a healthy fish. They'd have to make the mistake of swimming directly into it's grasp.

I've never heard of any Tubastrea sp. eating a healthy fish in an aquarium.

Like stunreefer mentioned, this is not very likely and would rather think that the fish was dead and happened to land and or float past the Tubastrea!

Ive feed mine chunks of silversides, they eat the small ones but the big chunks they just let go.

It would have to be a very small fish and almost certainly dead or dying if it doesnt have the strength to pull away from the tentacles because IME its not that hard to pull things out of them they just kind of let them go.

A guy on another board posted a thread about his dendro eating his anthia, but he said it was already very skinny and not eating.

Here is the link, not sure if im alowed to but ive seen other people do it
