I've got an entire spool of Tygon @ work, but I need to check the diameter.

Not yet. Bur I never got an answer on if regular tygon is good enough. I am pretty sure I have a local source for it.

I was thinking it would work, but was not the best.

I use Tygon from US Plastics and only have to replace every 3-4 months. They sell lots of diameters. HTH

That's kind of what I figured for the tygon.

When I got my pump, it had Pharmed 65 on it and it lasted at least 8 or 9 months. And I just installed my last piece, so I need to stock up.

But, so far, I can only find it at cole parmer in long lengths. $$

I agree, it will likely not last as long as the soft rubber peristaltic tubing.

However, I bit the bullet and purchased an entire spool (25' ? 50'?) I don't even remember how much...so if I have to replace a 4" length every six months, it should still last me a good 25-50 years.

I'm using a medical doser, which is peristaltic BUT the tubing does not get pinched between rollers and a backing plate. Instead it just sorta stretched the tube.

I tried using regular latex tubing (to pump fresh water into my kalk reactor). It works AND THEN it'll crack and spill water all over. I'm gonna try using silicon air tubing.

The problem is that I'd been buying the Enteral Feeding sets, which are hard to find (for my pump) and pricey.

How long does regular peri-tubing last?
