tubs blues coloring

ok, so my tubs blue's i just got aren't looking very blue... I have them at the bottom of a 24 inch deep tank under 150 watt 14k, and they look more like a pale purple... should i move them higher into more light, or more into the shade, to encourage the nice deep blue color? I've always heard less light for better blues, but they are already at the bottom of my deep tank so i donno.

I say move them up, mine blues are about 20" under a 250w14k and they look really blue to me. but they look blue even under one 11k t5.
